Government ditches plans to tax expenses

Government to drop plans that would have forced volunteers onto

our e-bulletin system is back up and running and filled with even
more information than before. Its just as easy to subscribe to
and will be posted weekly across the sector. More
Forward Together: West
Dunbartonshire becomes one of the 1st local authority areas in
the country to have a joint policy on volunteering and the voluntary
sector. Signed by WDCVS, West Dunbartonshire Council, the local
Community Health Partnership, and a whole range of partners it
offers agencies, individuals and organisations a commitment from
agencies to support volunteers across a range of issues. Policy
Training is available for Partner Agencies during May 2008. More
Consultations: WDCVS
is calling on voluntary and charitable organisations across West
Dunbartonshire to participate in one of the most important consultations
of recent years. Dormant Bank Account legislation is about to
go through the Scottish Parliament offering the sector £40,000.000.
The priorities for this money will be set by the Scottish government,
