Our core purpose is achieved by:
- assisting voluntary and community organisations to come together
for common purposes
- enabling local people to gain access to decision making processes
and planning processes which affect their community
- presenting the common policies and concerns of voluntary and
community organisations
- helping explore new means of responding to need in partnership
with other agencies
- exploring local needs, identifying and locating resources for
the benefit of all voluntary and community organisations
- adopting a flexible approach to ensure that unscheduled but
relevant areas of work may be responded to.
- promoting and increasing the profile of volunteering within
West Dunbartonshire.
- increasing the number of opportunities for people to volunteer
by working with organisations
- promoting opportunities and increasing the number of local residents
using their time for the benefit of their communities
