Localism > Community Health Partnership
West Dunbartonshire Community Health Partnership came into force on 1 April 2006 bringing responsibility for planning and delivering local health services across West Dunbartonshire together for the first time.
West Dunbartonshire CHP has been innovative in ensureing that the Community & Volunteering Sector is directly represented at CHP Board level, the 1st time that this has been acheived in Scotland. If you are a voluntary organisation deliverying health realted services in West Dunbartonshire then checkout the Voluntary Health Network web page on how to participate.
One other key priorityis to ensure that patients, carers, members of the public, small non-health service community and volunteering bodies as well as staff have a voice in the design and delivery of local services.
A new Public Partnership Forum (PPF) has therefore been created to give people an opportunity to get involved in shaping local services.
The development of West Dunbartonshire Public Partnership Forum (PPF) is to ensure that patients, carers and citizens of West Dunbartonshire have an opportunity to get involved in the development of local services and provide feedback on a wide range of local issues. The PPF will build on existing local patient and public involvement arrangements to develop closer links with community groups and voluntary organisations across West Dunbartonshire.
Different communities have very different health needs and priorities, which is why the CHP's plan for the future will ensure that services are tailored to meet the individual needs of the local communities we serve. Checkout our Community Health Partnership Briefing paper
