The latest Scottish Household Survey states that the rate of volunteering has been higher in Scotland than the rest of the UK and other European countries, it adds that demand still outstrips supply. The report found that 28 per cent of men and 32 per cent of women volunteered, with people aged between 35 and 59 most likely to get involved in voluntary activities. More

We're here to help match organisations looking for volunteers with people seeking volunteer opportunities with voluntary organisations across the length and breadth of Scotland and beyond.

For Organisations: if you are a voluntary organisations you can register your volunteer opportunities on the Centre's database free of charge. Current listings are also posted on the Volunteer Centre Networks’ website and highlighted to registered volunteers who have identified specific areas of volunteering that they are interested in.

For Individuals: if you are interested in volunteering you can meet with one of our volunteer advisers who will discuss available volunteer positions matching your personal skills and interests.

The Volunteer Centre also promotes other targeted support such as youth volunteering by offering opportunities to gain an Millennium Volunteer Award for those aged 16-25 and for those aged 12-16 recognition via "YOUVOL!" award, a Befriending Service for older people living in West Dunbartonshire and a Supported Volunteering programme VC Involve.
