Volunteer Centre
The Volunteer Centre @ WDCVS’s matching services
pairs organisations looking for volunteers with people seeking volunteer
opportunities with voluntary organisations across the length and
breadth of Scotland and beyond.
Voluntary organisations can register their volunteer
opportunities on the Centre's database free of charge. Current listings
are also posted on the Volunteer Centre Networks’ website
and highlighted to registered volunteers who have identified specific
areas of volunteering that they are interested in.
Individuals who are interested in volunteering can meet with one
of our volunteer advisers who will discuss available volunteer positions
matching the individual's personal skills and interests.
The Volunteer Centre also promotes youth volunteerring
by offering opportunities to gain an Millennium Volunteer
Award for those aged 16-25 and for those aged 12-16 recognition
via "YOUVOL!"
award. We have also recently introduced a new Befriending
Service for older people living in West Dunbartonshire.
